Paranoid DIY: Make Your Own Disinfectant and Natural Antibacterial Hand Sanitizer

Like many Paranoid Freaks out there, I am also a germophobe and I try to keep myself and my habitat as germ free as I possibly can. And don’t get me wrong, my bedroom still looks like a filthy pigstyle but you won’t find a single germ anywhere. I use industrial amounts of disinfectant. It makes your eyes sore if you are not used to it.
And nothing would have changed if it wasn’t because the latest news are filled with reports of deadly super-germs that might break loose at any moment, potential pandemics and plagues from the 14th century. Now I will need a whole lot more! So I thought: Why buy it if I can make it! Long story short, here are two useful DIY tutorials on how to make your own disinfectant and natural antibacterial hand sanitizer! You’ll thank me when you are not covered with pustules.

Hit the break for the recipes.

Before we start, I want to point out that I am not responsible for any damage you cause to yourself or others following this tutorials, following the proper safety measures is your responsibility and yours only. So wear an apron, gloves, safety googles goggles or anything else. Follow my example: I’m using a hazmat suit with a welding mask, three pairs of gloves and a condom. Enough protection to drive the fire marshall crazy! Also… I CAN’T SEE SHIT!! I better take off some of this.

Ok, that out of my system, let’s proceed with the tutorials. As you can see, since I’m such a lazy bastard great sport, I had my web guy turn the instructions into graphics and add the color scheme of my web site so I don’t have to write out everything for your commodity! Did I mentioned there is booze involved? no? Well, there is.

And here is a bonus video of the process, which helps a lot if you have a poor imagination, although it’s not the exact same it is very similar, but Martha Stewart style, so be sure you check it out.

Again, I believe it’s not the exact same thing (or maybe I didn’t put enough attention) but it’s similar. And the whole Martha Stewart thing goes that extra mile and makes you wanna go to the nearest pub and get wasted before 3pm. So yeah… Thumbs up!  :thumb:

Now, for those of you who don’t hold a PhD in Chemistry, I looked up this whole hydrogen peroxide+vinegar thing and apparently the mixture generates pathetic peracetic acid which even though a great disinfectant, is toxic, corrosive and a bit reactive, so yeah, follow the instructions and don’t mess around if you’d like to keep having 5 fingers on each hand.

I have no idea of what the shelf lifes of this products are, but I don’t think they’ll spoil or something. They can evaporate tho so be sure not to smoke near the area you keep them in.
