This is what I warned you about a couple of months ago when I posted about the solar storms. Early Sunday the sun produced a flare, expelling a bunch of ionized atoms (Solar Plasma) towards earth. It is expected to reach us early in the day on August the 4th and while usually Auroras are visible only in Northern Canada, Alaska and the North Pole this one will be visible even for residents in Northern US!

Yeah, as far as I know, there will be more. Each with increasing intensity. Right now it was just a light show, but who knows, tomorrow this could mean blackouts or the end of technological civilization as we know it…
